Edinburgh

Edinburgh

We finally went to Edinburgh!

We went to Edinburgh back in March for James’s birthday. We have reached a point where we don’t place much importance on gifts for one another. If either of us need or want anything, and we have the means to get it then we do. We’re also at a point where we’re trying to look to the future but also still enjoy ourselves. With all this in mind, we decided to take a trip to Edinburgh.

We took the train from Kings Cross Station which was great -the views were incredible but it was also very busy and crowded. We hadn’t realised that the two trains to Edinburgh earlier that morning had been cancelled so there weren’t assigned seating which was a bit hectic but luckily we both got seated just fine. I’ve never been on a train for quite that long so that was a new experience to say the least, but I did still enjoy it and I’m happy we did it that way.

We got checked into our hotel pretty much as soon as we got to Edinburgh and after taking in our amazing view, and FaceTiming our families, we headed out for dinner. Now I’m not going to lie, I weren’t the biggest fan of our dinner. We headed to a nearby chinese restaurant which was lovely and the staff were lovely, but you didn’t get much food for what you were paying. The quality was great but the quantity and pricing was way off for me and kind of ruined the rest of it.

I will probably split our Edinburgh trip into quite a few posts as we crammed in so much good stuff and as you can imagine, I took aloooot of pictures too so stay tuned for all those Edinburgh adventures.

Cheerio for now!
